This Privacy Policy explains how Cashcutt ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you use our website (https://cashcutt.com) and the Cashcutt service (the "Service"). It should be read together with our Terms of Service.
1. DATA CONTROLLER

2. DATA WE COLLECT
We collect the following categories of personal data:
- Account data: your email address, login credentials (passwords are stored in hashed form by our authentication provider), and any profile information you provide. - Payment data: subscription and credit purchase records, and limited billing information. Card details are handled directly by our payment provider (Whop); we do not store full payment card numbers. - Content data: the video sources and URLs (for example, YouTube URLs) you submit, the clips generated from them, and any data derived from them during processing. - Usage and technical data: IP address, browser and device information, and log data generated when you use the Service. - Analytics data: information about how visitors use our website, collected through Radar by Tapit.
3. HOW AND WHY WE USE YOUR DATA
We use your personal data to:
- provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including processing your video sources and generating clips; - create and manage your account and authenticate you; - process payments, subscriptions, and credits; - send you service-related (transactional) emails, such as account and security notifications; - secure the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms; - analyze and improve the website and the Service; - comply with our legal, accounting, and tax obligations.
If you are in the EU or UK, our legal bases for processing are: performance of our contract with you (providing the Service and processing payments); our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, and improving the Service); your consent (for non-essential analytics cookies); and compliance with legal obligations.
4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES (PROCESSORS)
We share personal data only with service providers that help us operate the Service, and only as needed. Our main providers are:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage. - Vercel — website hosting and infrastructure. - Whop — payment processing for subscriptions and credits. - OpenAI — AI processing used to analyze your content and identify clip-worthy moments. Relevant content (such as video frames and/or transcript-derived text) is sent to OpenAI for this purpose. - Radar by Tapit — website usage analytics.
We do not sell your personal data. If we add further providers in the future (for example, a transcription or GPU-processing provider that receives your video or audio data), we will update this list.
5. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Several of our providers (including Vercel, Whop, OpenAI, and Google) are located in or process data in the United States. This means your personal data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area. Where such transfers occur, they are made under appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or, where applicable, an adequacy or certification mechanism (for example, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework).
6. DATA RETENTION
- Content data (submitted URLs, video sources, generated clips, and derived data) is retained for a maximum of 7 days, after which it is automatically deleted from our active systems. You may delete it earlier at any time. - Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data, except where we must keep it to meet a legal obligation. - Billing and transaction records may be retained for up to 10 years to comply with accounting and tax obligations. - Analytics data is retained according to our Radar by Tapit configuration.
7. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights:
If you are in the EU or UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — in France, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal data we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" of personal data (we do not sell your data), without being discriminated against for exercising these rights.

8. COOKIES
We use cookies and similar technologies:
- Essential cookies, which are necessary for the website and your account to work (for example, to keep you logged in). These are always active. - Analytics cookies, set through Radar by Tapit, which help us understand how the website is used. These are used only with your consent where required.
Where consent is required, you can accept or refuse non-essential cookies through our cookie banner or your browser settings. Refusing analytics cookies does not affect your ability to use the Service.
9. SECURITY
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. CHILDREN
The Service is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 16 (or under 13 in the United States). If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
